A shared (or department) mailbox collects voicemails for a team rather than an individual. Common uses:
Voicemails are emailed to everyone in the distribution list. You can also broadcast a voicemail to an entire group ("voicemail blasting") — useful for company-wide announcements that don't need a phone meeting.
